Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on Western countries to allocate 0.25 percent of their Gross Domestic Product to help his country increase arms production.
He also announced that Ukraine plans to sign an agreement this summer to begin exporting weapons production technologies.
Zelensky announced that his country is in talks with Denmark, Norway, Germany, Canada, the United Kingdom and Lithuania to launch joint weapons production.
Zelensky's call came after Ukraine faced heavy Russian attacks this week.
As a result, 16 people were reported dead and 55 injured in the capital Kiev since the beginning of the week. There were also attacks in other Ukrainian regions, such as Odessa, Zaporizhzhia and Mykolaiv.
