In a new post on X on Saturday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky provided updated details about the battlefield while warning that Russia could intensify attacks in the coming days.

According to him, this is done with the aim of Russia gaining a more favorable position politically.

"Based on the political and diplomatic situation around Ukraine, and knowing Russia's treachery, we anticipate that in the coming days the Russian military may attempt to increase pressure and attacks against Ukrainian positions in order to create more favorable political circumstances for talks with global actors," he wrote.

His reaction comes in the wake of posts following the meeting of the Russian and American presidents in Alaska, with the aim of ending the war.

And Zelensky said Ukraine had also achieved "success" in "some very difficult areas" in the eastern Donetsk region for the second day in a row.
