The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has said that as Ukrainian troops are advancing in the Kursk region in Russia, they have so far captured 100 Russian soldiers.

In an article on Twitter, he said that despite the advancement inside Russia, "Ukraine is not forgetting the eastern front for a single second".

"We are advancing in the Kursk region, one to two kilometers in different areas, since the start of the day. We captured more than 100 Russian soldiers during this period. I am grateful to all involved; this will speed up the return of our sons and daughters home", he wrote.

Ukraine insisted on Tuesday that it has no intention of keeping Russian territories.
