Ukraine has asked Turkey to organize a meeting between its President, Volodymyr Zelensky, and Russian President, Vladimir Putin, Ukrainian Chief Diplomat, Andrii Sybiha, announced.

Belarus is a close ally of Russia and allowed Moscow to use Belarusian territory to launch its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
Sybiha did not say how Ankara responded to the proposal.
"We specifically addressed the Turks. But if another capital, besides Moscow and Belarus, organizes such a meeting, we will go," he added.
The Kremlin had previously said it was ready to host Zelensky in Moscow, where the Ukrainian leader has said he would not go.
The war in Ukraine has been sidelined in recent months due to the US-Israeli war against Iran, which began on February 28th.
American diplomacy, which was trying to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict, is now almost entirely oriented towards the Middle East.
