Turkish authorities have arrested 36 people for suspected ties to the Islamic State, in operations carried out in four provinces, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on Sunday, Reuters reports.
In a post on the "X" social media platform, Yerlikaya noted that police had arrested suspects who were found to be active within the Islamic State, helping to finance and provide supplies to the group. Police have also seized several shotguns and pistols as part of the operation, Yerlikaya said.
