United States President Donald Trump has signaled that Zelensky's days as Ukraine's president may be numbered.

Asked by reporters whether, by discussing the end of the war in Ukraine directly with Russian President Vladimir Putin, he would leave Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky out of the process, isn't that a risk? Trump stated, "No, I don't think so - while he's there, but yes, at some point, you have to have elections in Ukraine too." "The Guardian" reported.

Zelensky's removal from office has long been Putin's goal.
