Donald Trump

United States President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that a deal has been reached with Iran and that the US will end the naval blockade, CNN reports.

"The deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is final. Congratulations to all!" Trump wrote in a post on "Truth Social."

Details of the agreement have not been disclosed and Tehran has not yet commented on the deal.

Trump said he has authorized the lifting of the US naval blockade of Iran.

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister, Kazem Gharibabadi, confirmed during a phone call on state television that an agreement with the US has been finalized and that the official signing will take place in Switzerland on Friday.
