US President Donald Trump insists that Iran's nuclear sites were "totally destroyed" by US military strikes, despite an intelligence assessment casting doubt on their success.

Details of the initial damage assessment by the Pentagon's Defense Intelligence Agency were leaked to CBS and other media outlets.

Trump's special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, called the leak "treasonous."

Meanwhile, a ceasefire between Israel and Iran appears to be continuing to hold, as both nations acknowledge it is in effect.

But the wars that Trump inherited and promised to end, in Gaza and Ukraine, continue to intensify.
