US President Donald Trump has celebrated 100 days into his second term in office with a campaign-style speech, touting his achievements and criticizing political enemies.

Hailing what he called a "common sense revolution", he told a large crowd of supporters in Michigan that he was using his presidency to deliver "profound change", the BBC reports.

The Republican has mocked his Democratic predecessor, Joe Biden, while dismissing polls showing his popularity declining.

He has cited a dramatic decline in the number of immigrants crossing into the US illegally in his first 100 days in office.

"We've just begun, you ain't seen nothing yet," Trump told the crowd on Tuesday in a Detroit suburb.

At his rally, Trump also said that opinion polls showing his popularity had fallen were "fake."

According to Gallup, Trump is the only post-World War II president to have less than half the public's support after 100 days in office, with a rating of 44%.

But most Republican voters still staunchly support the president.
