US President Donald Trump spoke to reporters about his phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday.
Trump said that he and Putin talked about the war in Ukraine, but also about the Middle East.
"We were talking about Ukraine, which is a war that is not ending. There is great hatred between President Putin and President Zelensky... But I think it was a positive call on this issue," Trump said, reports the BBC.
He said Putin "wants to help" the Middle East.
"I said, 'You should be more helpful by ending the war in Ukraine. That would be more helpful. We had a very good conversation,'" Trump said.
