Trump says he will revoke Harvard's tax exemption

US President Donald Trump has announced that his administration will end Harvard University's tax-exempt status. According to Trump, the decision is well-deserved and long overdue.

This action comes after the latest clash between the president's administration and this elite institution, after Harvard warned of a lawsuit against the federal government last month, stressing that the consequences would be severe and long-lasting.

Since the start of his second term in January, Trump has taken a tough stance against Harvard, accusing it of being an "anti-Semitic, anti-American, Marxist and radical leftist" institution.

Previously, the president has threatened to ban the admission of foreign students to this university and has frozen over two billion dollars in federal funds dedicated to it.

Harvard has refused to comply with the Trump administration's demands, deepening the conflict between the White House and the university. The president has signaled that he may take similar steps against other higher education institutions that he says have a partisan political agenda.
