United States President Donald Trump has announced that Thailand and Cambodia have agreed to a ceasefire starting today, following a phone call with the leaders of both countries.
"Both countries are ready for PEACE and continued trade with the United States of America," Trump wrote on the "Truth Social" platform on Friday.
Fighting between Thailand and Cambodia resumed on December 8, leaving about 10 people dead.
They have been disputing sovereignty along their 800 km land border for more than a century.
Trump had already stopped the war between these two countries in July.
