US President Donald Trump has declared that a ceasefire has been reached between Israel and Iran.
He said in a post on Truth Social that an agreement has been reached for a complete ceasefire.
"A full and final agreement has been reached between Israel and Iran for a complete and comprehensive ceasefire, which will come into effect in approximately 6 hours, after both sides have concluded their last military missions on the ground. The ceasefire will last 12 hours, and after this period, the war will be considered over," he said.
According to the agreement, Iran will be the first party to stop military actions, initiating the ceasefire.
“After the 12 hours are up, Israel will also begin its own ceasefire phase. When 24 hours have passed since the start, the 12-day war will be officially declared over, and this will be welcomed by the international community. Throughout the ceasefire period, each side will respect the peace and refrain from any provocative acts. If all goes as planned – and I believe it will – I want to congratulate both countries, Israel and Iran, for the resilience, courage and wisdom they showed in ending a conflict that could have lasted for years and devastated the entire Middle East – but it did not, and never will,” he wrote.
"God bless Israel, God bless Iran, God bless the Middle East, God bless the United States of America, and GOD BLESS THE WORLD," Trump wrote.
Trump: I don't want regime change in Iran

US President Donald Trump has said he is not seeking regime change in Iran.
Trump made the statement two days after first raising the idea.
"I don't want this. I would like to see everything calm down as quickly as possible," Trump told reporters on Air Force One as he traveled to The Hague to attend the next summit of the alliance, the AP reports.
"Regime change requires chaos, and ideally, we don't want to see that much chaos," Trump said.
Over the weekend, Trump wrote on his social media account that "if the current Iranian regime is unable to make Iran great again, why not have regime change???"
