Torrential tolls and flooding hit Slovenia on Friday, leaving at least three people dead and forcing citizens to evacuate.
As a result of the bad weather, there is also material damage to roads and bridges.
Slovenia's Environment Agency, ARSO, raised the alert to the highest level after torrential rains hit the northern, northwestern and central parts of the country the worst.
The rains continued on Friday and authorities have warned that there could be further flooding as the rivers burst their banks.
Slovenian police told news agency STA that three people have died since the country was hit by rainstorms on Thursday night. A Slovenian died in the town of Kamnik, while two Dutch nationals died in a mountainous area near the town of Kranj.

"The death in Kamnik may have been caused by floods, while the deaths on the mountain may have been caused by lightning. However, the circumstances of the deaths are being investigated," said the police official, Maja Adleshiq Ciperle.
The state army is engaged in helping citizens after the bad weather.
"We call on all citizens who do not have urgent issues to stay at home and not travel in their cars", said the Minister of Defense, Marjan Sharec.
Slovenia faced several powerful storms earlier this summer, which left one person dead. The region was also hit by bad weather, leaving at least four people dead.
Experts say the extreme weather is being driven in part by climate change. Parts of Europe have experienced scorching temperatures and faced wildfires this summer.

Authorities have closed a highway connecting Slovenia with Italy and Austria to traffic on August 4 due to bad weather.
Due to the floods, nearly 16.000 households in Slovenia were left without electricity, while there were obstacles in railway services.
In Croatia, authorities have raised the alert for bad weather in five regions, warning that due to the bad weather there may be power and water outages.
A yellow alert has also been issued for the rest of Croatia, which means the weather could be potentially dangerous.
