In a YouTube video, she recalled in detail the last letter from her husband, the day before his death in a penal colony in Russia, and his final days in detention, detailing the lack of response from authorities to his first reports that he was unwell.

She also showed pictures from inside the cell where he was ill.

In the video, she explained that "in February 2024, we were able to safely obtain and transfer Alexei's biological samples abroad" and "laboratories in at least two countries independently tested those samples."

"Laboratories in two different countries independently concluded: Alexei was murdered, that is, poisoned," she said, without offering further supporting evidence.

"I demand that the laboratories that conducted the tests publish their results," she said. "I claim that Vladimir Putin is responsible for the murder of my husband, Alexei Navalny."

"Don't appease Putin for some higher 'considerations.' You can't appease him. While you remain silent, he doesn't stop," she added.
