A powerful earthquake struck near Los Angeles on Monday afternoon, shaking houses, reports "BBC".
The epicenter of the 4.4-magnitude earthquake was near Highland Park, a neighborhood in Los Angeles Country not far from the famous Hollywood sign.
Tremors were felt in the neighboring cities of Pasadena and Glendale.
There were no tsunami warnings, US authorities said.
No damage or injuries were reported.
