Coca-Cola has recalled one of its best-selling "zero sugar" drinks after it was found to contain sugar, DailyMail writes. The withdrawals have affected the US cities of Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.
The beverage giant issued the recall last month after discovering that 13.152 cans of Coca-Cola's Minute Maid Zero Sugar Lemonade contained sugar.
The sugar-free drink actually contained 40 grams of sugar. It's the same amount used for branded sugary drinks.
According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the product was shipped to retail stores in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.
In September, Coca-Cola Consolidated voluntarily recalled a limited amount of Minute Maid Lemonade cans in parts of Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio. No affected products remain on the market and all recall activities in those markets have been completed," a company spokesperson said.
The FDA advised customers who purchased the drinks to throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
