A bomb attack on a military bus in central Damascus has killed at least 13 people, Syrian state media said.
The car was targeted with two explosive devices as it crossed the Jisr al-Rais bridge shortly after dawn, the Sana news agency said.
Recordings from the scene showed that the bus was completely burned.
Although Syria has been embroiled in civil war for a decade, such attacks in the capital are extremely rare.
Wednesday's bomb attack was reported to be the deadliest in Damascus since March 2017, when at least 31 people were killed in a suicide attack.
The militant group, Islamic State (IS), claimed responsibility for that attack.

No one has yet been declared responsible for Wednesday's attack, but there are suspicions that IS is behind it, as it has carried out several attacks against the army this year in Syria.
Syria has been wracked by a conflict that erupted after Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's government responded with deadly force to pro-democracy protests in March 2011.
According to the United Nations, the fighting has left at least 350,000 people dead, and has driven half the population to flee their homes, including nearly six million refugees abroad.
