Death toll from Philippines earthquake rises to at least 32

The death toll from a 7,8-magnitude earthquake that struck the southern Philippines on Monday has risen to at least 32. 

The earthquake struck at around 07:37 a.m. local time, triggering tsunami warnings in the Philippines, Indonesia, Japan and Australia. Some of these were later canceled. 

Published footage of the moment the earthquake struck shows buildings collapsing and people in fear. 

More than 100 people have been injured in several provinces of the country, a large number are missing and 10,000 residents have been evacuated.
