Torrential rain and flooding returned to Spain's Valencia region on Wednesday night.
More than 220 people died in this eastern coastal area, and the town of Paiporta was hardest hit with the loss of 60 lives, after the area faced severe flooding two weeks ago, the BBC reports.
Although the vast majority of houses are still standing, there is a lack of electricity, hot water or drinking water in the worst-hit streets.
In Paiporta, piles of damaged cars have been created at roundabouts and other spaces.
An estimated 100,000 vehicles were destroyed during the floods.
The mayor has urged people to stay indoors as locals wait for the latest flood warning to be lifted.
