A drone launched from Lebanon on Saturday struck a building in the Israeli city of Caesarea, which was revealed on Tuesday to be the residence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Just a few hours ago, a senior Hezbollah official claimed responsibility for the drone attack on the Israeli prime minister's home.
So far, it has only been reported that the drone headed towards his house, but it has not been reported that it hit the building. Netanyahu and his wife were not at the residence during the incident.
The drone crashed into a bedroom window in Netanyahu's home. Due to the protection, the drone did not penetrate the house and only external damage was caused.
The drone was being followed by a combat helicopter that identified the departure from Lebanon until the moment of the crash. As a result, alerts were issued in Glilot and north of Tel Aviv.
Two other drones also entered Israeli airspace from Lebanon but were intercepted in open areas.
According to Israeli media, it is a Ziyad 107 drone, the same type that struck an Israeli base last week, during which Israel admitted the death of four soldiers.
