Russia with massive attacks in Kharkiv

The Russian military has carried out drone attacks on Ukraine's second largest city, Kharkiv, overnight.

Drones hit a residential building, causing fires, killing at least four people and injuring 35 others. 

According to local officials, two children are reported to be among the injured.

Kharkiv, which is located in northeastern Ukraine, has been the subject of drone attacks almost every night over the past week, including an hour-long barrage of attacks on Wednesday evening.

The city resisted the advance of Russian troops through Ukraine and their unsuccessful advance on Kiev in the first weeks of the February 2022 invasion. As Russian forces withdrew from the capital and concentrated in eastern Ukraine, Kharkiv became a frequent target of airstrikes.
