About 1.2 million people have fled their homes in Lebanon, a report said

The war between Lebanon and Israel

A report  published by the Lebanese crisis response unit said that it is believed that nearly 1.2 million people have been displaced from their homes in Lebanon as a result of the escalation of the war between Israel and Hezbollah, reports the "AP" agency.

The Lebanese General Security registered more than 250 Syrian citizens and 82 Lebanese citizens who crossed into Syrian territory between September 23 and September 30, the report said.

Nearly 164 live in shelters in Lebanon.

Among them are Fatima Abdul Nabi and her newborn daughter. Her daughter turned 10 days old on September 23, when Israel began a large-scale bombardment of southern Lebanon that it said was aimed at driving the Hezbollah militant group from the border.

"They started hitting our village and said we had to leave the village, so we left," said Abdul Nabi.
