Hundreds of people have gathered in a park in the town of Wahkesha, Wisconsin, lighting candles in honor of those who lost their lives and were injured in the Christmas parade attack days ago.
The mayor has said that this is only the first step in healing the wounds of the community after a driver drove his car into the crowd, killing five people. 48 others were injured and are being treated for various injuries. Volunteers distributed food, chocolates and candles. Leaders of various religious faiths, as well as high local and state officials have also participated in these vigils.
