The Russian President, Vladimir Putin, has welcomed his Palestinian counterpart, Mahmoud Abbas, for talks on Tuesday in Sochi. The Russian leader has said that it is very important that Russia has not changed its approach to the unresolved Palestinian problem.
The head of the Kremlin has emphasized that Moscow continues to support the two-state solution between the Palestinians and the Israelis. Putin estimates that only this formula would respect the interests of the peoples of the troubled Middle East region.
Putin has also said that it is important to continue the bilateral dialogue with Palestine. Israel and Palestine are unable to reach an agreement to end the long conflict between the two peoples.
