International media have distributed a video of the former boss of "Wagner", Yevgeny Prigozhin, which is claimed to have been filmed a few days before he lost his life. As TheGuardian reported on Thursday, Prigozhin is heard talking about his well-being and the threats he had previously received.
"To all those who debate whether I am alive or not. It is currently a weekend in the second half of August 2023. I am in Africa", Prigozhini can be heard declaring in the short video, published by the Gray Zone Telegram channel.
"So for those who like to speculate about my liquidation, my private life, my work there, or anything else, everything is fine," added the former president.
The British medium TheGuardian added that it has not been able to verify the location of Prigozhin nor the date when this moment was shot. But the clothing and hat he was wearing in that video match a clip released on August 21 that claimed he was in Africa.
Prigozhin died when his plane crashed on August 23, two months after leading a coup against Russian President Vladimir Putin.
After making a decision to stop the rebellion in Russia, Prigozhin focused on Africa, where he warned that he would take initiatives.
