Some Armenian protesters, who are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinian, entered the government building in the capital of this country, Yerevan, on March 1.
Pashinian has faced growing protests, and opposition calls for his resignation, following the six-week conflict between Azerbaijan and ethnic Armenian forces over the Nagorno-Karabakh region a year ago.
A Russian-brokered ceasefire deal signed by Pashinian ended 44 days of fighting over the Nagorno-Karabakh region, where Armenian forces have faced territorial losses from the Turkish-backed Azerbaijani army.
Pashinian, whose alliance has a majority in parliament, has rejected opposition demands for early elections and called for consultations.
Last week, he condemned what he called an "attempted coup" after several senior military officials called for the resignation of his government.
