The special police unit and customs officials have raided the properties of the Russian national, Alisher Usmanov, in the south of Bavaria.
The Russian citizen has been sanctioned by the European Union, German customs officials have announced.
The EU, the United States of America and other Western countries have imposed sanctions against Russia because of its war in Ukraine.
Among the sanctions are a travel ban and asset freeze on a large number of government officials in Russia and hundreds of businessmen.
German authorities have seized several luxury vehicles during raids on these properties.

In September 2022, the special unit of 250 officials raided dozens of properties across Germany suspected of belonging to Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov, a close ally of President Vladimir Putin.
