At least five civilians have been killed after Russia launched drones, missiles and aerial bombs into Ukraine overnight Saturday into Sunday morning.

Officials have said the attack targeted civilian infrastructure.

Moscow has launched more than 50 ballistic missiles and about 500 drones into nine regions across Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky said Sunday morning, AP reports.

Four people, including a 15-year-old boy, have been killed in a combined drone and missile attack in Lviv, according to regional officials and Ukraine's emergency services. The historic western city is often seen as a refuge from fighting and destruction in the east. At least six other people were injured, according to a statement from Ukraine's police force.

The attack left two neighborhoods without electricity and public transport suspended for several hours on Sunday morning, Mayor Andriy Sadovyi reported.

In the southern city of Zaporizhia, an airstrike overnight killed one woman and wounded nine others, including a 16-year-old girl, regional governor Ivan Fedorov reported.

Fedorov said the attack destroyed residential buildings and left about 73,000 families in Zaporizhzhia and surrounding areas without electricity.
