The peace talks in Geneva, which were in their second day on Wednesday, have ended.

Reuters quoted a Ukrainian official as saying the talks lasted about two hours.

Meanwhile, Moscow's chief negotiator, Vladimir Medinsky, stated after their conclusion that the talks were "difficult" but that they would continue "soon."

"The negotiations lasted two days: very long yesterday in different formats, and about two hours today. They were difficult, but professional," he was quoted as saying.

Medinsky added that the next meeting will be held soon.
