The UN warns of an increase in hunger at the global level

A United Nations report has shown that the number of people facing hunger has increased in the last three years.

According to UN analysis, 821 million people were malnourished in 2017, which is one in nine people.

According to the authors of the analysis, the extreme climate can be partly blamed for this situation, who have also called for urgent steps to be taken globally.

Among other things, the report emphasizes that obesity is also contributing to food problems, since one in eight adults, or more than 672 million people, are considered obese.

The authors noted that extreme climate changes, including floods, heat, storms and drought have doubled since the early 1990s.

According to the report, hunger problems have been more pronounced in countries where the majority of the population depends on the agricultural sector.

The authors have called for more coordinated steps so that countries most likely to be affected by natural disasters can more easily overcome them.
