One person was killed and another wounded in a stabbing attack at a shopping mall in Israel on Wednesday, where the attacker was also shot dead, Israeli police and medics said.
Police said the attack was suspected to be terrorist.
Israeli doctors told Reuters that one of the two victims was pronounced dead after being rushed to hospital, and the attacker died at the shopping center in Karmiel, northern Israel.
Israeli doctors said earlier Wednesday that they had treated two men in their 20s, one in very serious condition and the other fully conscious.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. There was no immediate claim of liability. Israel is waging a military offensive in Gaza in retaliation for Hamas' deadly attack on southern Israel on October 7 last year.
