Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced that Israel is not a party to the agreement between the US and Iran.
He made the statement after a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump about the new agreement with Iran, the Times of Israel reported.
Netanyahu's office says that in the conversation, the Israeli prime minister expressed optimism about an agreement between the parties.
"Although Israel is not a party to the memorandum of understanding, the Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for President Trump's commitment that the final agreement reached through the negotiations will include the removal of enriched uranium, restrictions on missile production, and the cessation of Iran's support for its terrorist proxies in the region," the statement said.
Trump stated on Thursday that the agreement with Iran is expected to be signed very soon, leaving open the possibility that this could happen this weekend in Europe.
On the other hand, Iran has denied that the agreement with the US has been finalized.
