The United States has hit a ship off the coast of Venezuela, killing six people, President Donald Trump said.
Trump has said the ship belonged to "narco-terrorists" and was "trafficking narcotics."
This is the fifth such attack by the Trump administration on a ship accused of drug trafficking in international waters since September. 27 people have been killed in total.
Some lawyers have accused the US of violating international law, while Colombia and Venezuela have condemned the attacks, the BBC reported.
Trump said that "intelligence has confirmed that the ship was trafficking narcotics, was connected to illegal narco-terrorist networks, and was transiting along a known route" for smuggling.
The US has described its attacks on the ships as self-defense.
