Musk to Zelensky: He doesn't want peace, but money and power

Musk & Zelensky

The head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in America, Elon Musk, expressed support for accusations against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that he prioritizes power and money over peace, while the United States wants to negotiate to end the war.

"Zelensky doesn't want peace, he wants money and power," wrote a Platform X user on Tuesday, to which Musk responded with a "100 percent" emoji, apparently signaling approval.

Although Musk was initially an aide to the federal government, he is increasingly "pushing his weight" on the international stage, entering European politics and supporting far-right politicians from Britain and Germany.

Musk has previously made similar statements when he mocked the Ukrainian leader's calls for Western help to defend against Russia, but he has also said that Ukraine is an independent country and cannot be forced to sit at the negotiating table with Russia.

In the early days of this war, Musk donated Starlink satellite internet to Ukraine to replace communications services destroyed by Russia and was hailed as one of Kiev's most important allies.

But this story took a turn after Musk began spreading what Ukraine has said was pro-Russian propaganda through the X network.

Russian and American negotiators met yesterday in Saudi Arabia, with Zelensky claiming that the negotiations took place without Kiev's input or knowledge.
