Moscow warns the US not to mock Russia's "red lines".

The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, has warned the United States not to make fun of Russia's "red lines".

Lavrov said this while answering journalists' questions about the possibility of sending American long-range missiles to Ukraine, which Reuters reported the day before, based on high-level sources.

Lavrov accused the US of inciting the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, with its recent actions.

Since the start of the war in Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly warned the West not to try to deter Russia, which has the world's largest arsenal of nuclear weapons.

But official Washington and its allies have increased military aid to Ukraine, including sending tanks, advanced missiles and F-16 fighter jets.

This has led some Western politicians to say that Putin's nuclear rhetoric is a bluff and that the US and NATO should do their best to help Ukraine win the war.
