A victim support center has opened in Monterey Park, California, after a shooting at a local dance club left ten dead and ten injured.
A crisis response team was on hand for relatives of people affected by the club shooting during the Lunar New Year celebrations.
Authorities were searching for a motive for the gunman who killed 10 people at the event, killings that sent a wave of fear through Asian American communities in the region and cast a shadow over celebrations nationwide.
The suspect was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a van that authorities say he fled in after people thwarted his attempt to carry out another massacre.
