The Eiffel Tower in Paris has reopened on Sunday after a six-day closure due to the workers' strike, the "AP" agency reports.
The employees have demanded better maintenance of the historical monument, which has begun to show traces of rust, and also an increase in wages.
The operator of the 330-meter-tall Tower said in a statement that an agreement had been reached with the unions representing the workers, after promising to allocate "an ambitious investment of 380 million euros by 2031" to the renovation works.
Salary negotiations are also expected to begin next week and are expected to be completed next month.
