Hungary's prime minister-elect, Peter Magyar, said on Friday he is ready to begin initial talks with EU officials in Budapest, as he has no time to waste in his efforts to unblock funds frozen by the bloc due to disagreements with his predecessor.
Magyar, whose landslide victory in the April 12 election will end the 16-year rule of nationalist Prime Minister Viktor Orban, said he would start discussions by outlining points where he and the EU have already agreed.
