The Kremlin has said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is prepared to talk to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky if necessary.

This was stated to reporters by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

Peskov added that the legal basis of the agreements needs discussion.

"Considering the reality that Zelensky's legitimacy may be questioned," he added.
