The US House Judiciary Committee has issued a subpoena to obtain the full report of the special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential election.
Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler said in a statement that he could not accept a redacted version that "leaves the majority of Congress in the dark."
Attorney General William Barr sent a redacted report of the special counsel to Congress.
If the Justice Department does not respond to Congressional calls to hand over the full report, it could mark the beginning of a long legal battle.
Democrats may take the case to court.

The American Attorney General, William Barr, has clarified the process of editing the report of the special counsel, Robert Mueller, regarding Russian interference in the 2016 presidential elections in the United States. He said that no material was edited based on the "executive privilege" of the American president, Donald Trump.
Barr has said that Mueller's investigations have found evidence that Russia attempted to interfere in the 2016 US election.
