(Updated: 13:00 p.m) - More than 400 Palestinians have been killed overnight in Gaza by Israeli airstrikes, TheGuardian has reported.
Health authorities in Gaza, controlled by the militant group Hamas, have increased the number of victims. On the Telegram messaging program, the Gaza Health Ministry announced that the number of victims is 404, up from about 330 as previously announced.
The Ministry also announced that over 660 Palestinians have sought help in hospitals as a result of the airstrikes.
Israeli authorities have announced that they have launched a ground operation.
On the other hand, Turkey has condemned the Israeli attack on the Palestinians, saying that Israel is continuing its genocidal policy.

At least 330 people have been killed in Gaza by Israeli army attacks, which were carried out in the early hours of Tuesday morning, the BBC reported.
The Israeli military said it was carrying out large-scale strikes after talks to extend a ceasefire failed to reach an agreement. It marks the largest wave of air strikes since the ceasefire came into effect on January 19.
Israel has also carried out major airstrikes in Lebanon and southern Syria against what it says are extremists planning terrorist attacks.

Last night, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had been instructed to take action against Hamas after it "refused to release Israeli hostages" and rejected proposals received from the United States and other mediators.
The Israeli army has also issued the order to carry out ground operations.
Hamas reacted after this, describing the attacks as "treason" and saying that the Israeli government had decided to break the ceasefire, "exposing the hostages in Gaza to an unknown fate."
Early this morning it was reported that Hamas' top security official, Mahmoud Abu Wafah, had been killed.
Israeli authorities have announced that they have arrested 17 Palestinians during an operation in the West Bank.
France condemns last night's Israeli attacks on Gaza
The French Foreign Ministry has reacted by condemning last night's Israeli attacks on Gaza, and has added calls for an immediate end to the violence.
Israel launched a campaign of airstrikes in Gaza last night against Hamas targets, after the latter rejected proposals from the United States and other mediators, reports "The Guardian".
According to the Hamas-controlled Health Ministry in Gaza, the death toll from last night's attacks has reached over 400, while the number of injured has reached over 600.
Hamas blames US for Israeli attacks on Gaza
The Islamic militant group in Gaza, Hamas, backed by Iran, has blamed the "United States of America" for Israel's attacks on Gaza.

According to the Gaza Health Ministry, the Israeli attack has killed more than 400 Palestinians, "The Guardian" reported.
"With its unlimited military and political support for the occupier (Israel), Washington bears full responsibility for the massacre and killing of women and children in Gaza," the Palestinian militant group Hamas said in a statement.
"The international community must take immediate action to hold the occupier and its supporters accountable for these crimes against humanity," Hamas added.
Israel reportedly kills five senior Hamas officials
Five senior Hamas officials were killed during Israeli airstrikes in the early hours of Tuesday morning in Gaza, The Jerusalem Post reported.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have begun attacks on the Gaza Strip, a move that the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called a response to Hamas' refusal to release hostages in Gaza.
On Tuesday, the Hamas-led Gaza Health Ministry announced that more than 300 people had been killed by Israeli attacks since Monday evening.
Palestinian and Arab media sources have announced that the five killed Hamas officials are Hamas Interior Minister Mahmoud Abu Watfa, two members of Hamas' political bureau, Abu Obediaj Muhammad al-Jamasi and Issam al-Daalis, senior Hamas official Ahmed Omar Al-Hatta, and the head of security mechanisms within Hamas, Bahjat Abu Sultan.
