Iran's military says no port in the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman will remain safe if its ports are threatened, Iranian state broadcaster reported on Monday, citing a statement by Iranian military spokesman Ebrahim Zolfaghari.

The threat comes as the US military says it will begin a blockade of all Iranian ports and coastal areas, after talks in Islamabad over the weekend failed to reach an agreement to end the war in the Middle East.
