Iran targets Bahrain, Qatar with new attacks

Warning sirens were sounded in Bahrain on Saturday and a security alert was sent to phones of citizens in Doha, Qatar. 

"The security threat level has increased," the warning said. "Everyone should stay indoors, avoid going outside, and stay away from windows and exposed areas in order to protect public safety." 

Qatar's Defense Ministry said in a statement that a ballistic missile attack from Iran had been thwarted. 

"The security threat has been eliminated and the situation has returned to normal." 

Almost simultaneously with this announcement, Iranian state media reported that a missile and drone attack had been launched towards Qatar and Bahrain.
