The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said they had identified incoming missiles fired from Iran, as sirens were activated across Israel.
A hospital in the southern Israeli city of Be'er Sheva has been damaged by Iranian attacks, its spokeswoman said.
At least 30 people were injured as a result of the attack.
"Defense systems are operating to intercept the threat," the IDF said.
The IDF has called on the public to enter bomb shelters and remain there "until further notice."
Iranian state media, Fars News Agency, also reported the missile strike.
In addition, Iran launched drones towards Israel "a few hours ago," Fars posted on Telegram on Thursday morning.
