Iran has sent its response to Pakistani mediators to the latest US ceasefire proposal and wants the negotiations to focus on a permanent end to the war, Iranian state media said on Sunday.
State television has said Iran seeks to end the war on all fronts, including in Lebanon, and ensure freedom of maritime transport.
Washington's latest proposal addresses an agreement to end the war, reopen the Strait of Hormuz and roll back Iran's nuclear program, an issue that Tehran would prefer to discuss later.
There has been no comment yet from the White House regarding Iran's response.
Meanwhile, the fragile ceasefire was put to the test on Sunday when a drone ignited a small fire on a ship near Qatar, while the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait reported that drones entered their airspace.

The United Arab Emirates blamed Iran for its attack. No casualties were reported and no one immediately claimed responsibility. Qatar's Foreign Ministry called it a "dangerous and unacceptable escalation that threatens the security of maritime trade routes and vital supplies in the region."
Iran and allied armed groups have used drones to carry out hundreds of attacks since the war began with US and Israeli strikes on February 28.
