Members of the International Criminal Court voted on Friday to dismiss British national Karim Khan from his post as chief prosecutor over allegations of sexual misconduct.
Khan was suspended last month. The decision to dismiss him was made with 82 votes in favor.
The court's oversight body announced in June that he had committed "serious misconduct and misconduct" by engaging in an inappropriate sexual relationship with a young ICC staff member and urging her not to press charges against him.
Khan has consistently denied the allegations against him. His lawyers have called his suspension illegal, procedurally unfair and unsupported by evidence.

The case in The Hague by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia was closed in 2005. Later, Limaj was also accused by EULEX of war crimes. Khani also defended Limaj in the case where he was accused of corruption. In all of them, he was found not guilty.
The ICC is the only permanent war crimes court in the world.
