The so-called Coalition of the Willing, Merz said, wants to take on its responsibilities and help ensure that in the future there are strong armed forces in Ukraine to provide a credible deterrent to Russia.
He added that they are working tirelessly towards peace, but they will have to make compromises and will probably not be able to achieve the ideal of a perfectly crafted peace.
