France has registered 130 cases with the Omicron variant of the coronavirus. The government there is monitoring the situation for a possible shutdown.
This variant is spreading rapidly in Europe, especially in Great Britain. This is what English scientists have announced in a conducted study, stressing that Omicron may surpass the Delta variant in prevalence, from mid-December, if this trend of increasing cases continues. Meanwhile, the first victim from this variant was also registered on Monday.
The Omicron variant has recently also affected China, where the whole coronavirus pandemic started.
According to scientists, a third dose of the anti-COVID vaccine would be appropriate to prevent infection with this variant, while all its specifics have not yet been made known.
