The United Arab Emirates will allocate $100 million to help Turkey and Syria after the deadly earthquake, Reuters reported on Tuesday.
The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, has ordered the allocation of these funds to support earthquake relief efforts in Syria and Turkey, state news agency WAM reported.
More than 5000 people have been confirmed dead in Turkey and Syria after the 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck on Monday morning.
Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay said that the number of victims in Turkey has reached 3419.
Another 20,534 were injured and nearly 6,000 buildings collapsed.
In Syria, the death toll has risen to 1,602.
